1. Try to be more expressive with people who don’t have a methodical style like you do. They might see you as boring or plain if you don’t come across enthusiastically to them.

2. As a methodical person, you’ll want to focus on details so be careful not to bore people with unnecessary detail.

3. Show an interest in other peoples’ feelings and ideas – this doesn’t tend to come naturally to methodical people so you may have to work at it.

4. Try not to waste peoples’ time by talking in too much detail about issues that don’t relate to the topic.

5. Remind yourself that not everyone approaches problems in a logical and analytical way (like you probably do) – some people like to take time to think more widely and strategically about the subject. Have the patience to listen to what these people have to say.

6. Hold back your frustrations when you’re working with or dealing with very creative people. Their ideas may seem impractical to you but they could be worth hearing.

7. Don’t forget that smiling can make a huge difference when you’re trying to get your point across to someone or to influence them. Some methodical people tend not to smile naturally. This doesn’t necessarily mean they’re not happy or not interested in something but it could send that message to other people.

8. If you’re dealing with or communicating with low methodical scorers, bear in mind that these people might prefer the ’bullet point’ version rather than the comprehensive one that you might prefer.
