3. Let others share their ideas too during brainstorming sessions. It could be that someone has a better idea than yours!

4. Be organised and prepare well before meetings – animated people can sometimes be prone to waffle – preparing beforehand what you’re going to say will help you to keep to the point.

5. Have your notes close by at meetings – then have the self-discipline to follow them so that you don’t drift away from the subject.

6. Although your expressiveness will help you to engage people most of the time, try not to overdo it because it could become a distraction for some people, particularly Methodical people. Have the self-discipline to remind yourself of this before you start talking or before you go into meetings.

7. Be aware if you feel yourself getting over emotional or over excited about something during a conversation. Stay calm and try not to let these feelings affect your judgement or distract other people.
